Indie music firm Glassnote Information, famed for signing and growing Grammy Award-winning acts like Mumford & Sons and Phoenix, has a brand new distribution companion.
Glassnote has entered into a worldwide distribution partnership with The Orchard, which is owned by Sony Music.
The brand new partnership comes three years after Glassnote entered into a worldwide partnership with Kobalt‘s AWAL.
With the AWAL deal now presumably expired, Glassnote is sticking with Sony Music, through a partnership with one other Sony-owned entity. UK headquartered AWAL was acquired by Sony for $430 million in Could 2021.
Glassnote initially joined RED Distribution, a subsidiary of Sony Music Group, in 2008.
It then shifted its international distribution to Common Music Group earlier than inking its AWAL deal in 2018, and now returns to Sony Music Group with The Orchard deal.
Below Glassnote’s settlement with The Orchard, the latter firm says it would present the indie large’s full artist roster with a worldwide community of companies and capabilities.
