Aaron “Sprint” Sherrod has been named President of City A&R at Geffen Data.
He most lately served as Senior Vice President of A&R at RCA Data.
At RCA, he signed Nardo Wick and was Govt Producer of the unique soundtrack album for the movie Judas and the Black Messiah, which gained the 2021 Academy Award for Finest Achievement in Music Written for Movement Photos (Authentic Tune) for H.E.R.’s Struggle For You.
In his new function, Sherrod will oversee the signing and improvement of artists on the Geffen city roster.
The newly created function marks a return of the veteran inventive government to the Interscope Geffen A&M household.
Sherrod will likely be based mostly at Geffen Data headquarters in Los Angeles.
Previous to RCA, he was beforehand Vice President of A&R at Interscope, becoming a member of the corporate in 2015.
